I paint colorful, energetic landscapes that explore the possibilities of the strange and unknown. Within these worlds, I depict pioneering women roaming the complexities of a vast, mysterious universe. These figures embody independence, intelligence, and quiet confidence, offering a perspective that is often underrepresented. Growing up influenced by fictional storytelling, I became fascinated with imaginative concepts that push the limits of reality while still connecting to my love for nature.

Botanicals, particularly trees, have become a recurring subject, representing resilience, transformation, and an ongoing desire for growth. I am especially drawn to palm trees for their balance of movement and stability, conveying a sense of ease and liveliness while withstanding constant change. These environments are not only places the figures explore, but also spaces that reflect internal and emotional experiences. They mirror the courage it takes to navigate life’s uncertainties while remaining open to possibility.

My practice begins with developing a narrative through planning and sketches that create a sense of movement and scale. Early layers embrace loose mark-making and neon washes, creating an underlying energy that carries through the final piece. Color plays a central role from the beginning, with vibrant palettes establishing mood, depth, and atmosphere. Influenced by historical botanical illustrations, nature, concept art, and science fiction, I develop color and composition together to push the story forward. Each painting is built through both expressive and intentional application, often becoming a journey of discovery in itself, combining drawing materials, spray paint, acrylic, and oil.

Through this process, I invite immersive moments of wonder and hope that inspire the courage to stay curious. I am interested in expanding how we see ourselves and our place within the unknown while creating space for possibility, exploration, and personal discovery.
